For Whom: Non-Residents of the UK who have written an original and previously unpublished play for radio.
The International Radio Playwriting Competition 2009 is a biennial competition currently in its eleventh year. The play submitted but me longer than 60 minutes in length and must never have been produced in any medium. Though entries are only accepted in English, the play may be a translation, in which case, the translator should be credited.
A winner will be announced in each of two categories – English as the first language and English as the second language. Both winners will have the opportunity to travel to London to see their plays produced on BBC Radio.
