About:
Samadhan is a social entrepreneurship B-Plan competition organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), IIT Roorkee. It is an initiative to encourage budding entrepreneurs to realize their dreams. Samadhan believes that economic growth must be multiplexed with social equity for the nation to move forward. It is this thinking which has led to the birth of Samadhan.For the last three years, Samadhan has been encouraging  the  idea of social entrepreneurship successfully .

Samadhan 08 is aimed to encourage yet to be Entrepreneurs to pursue Social Entrepreneurship as their career. The theme of Samadhan 08 is “Rural Infrastructure”. The main idea of chosing this theme is to create an awareness among the Youth to involve a majority of rural population 60-70% to the mainstream of progress, as the Nation marches forward to become a developed nation by 2020. There requires a huge input from the youth to address the problems of rural infrastructure of our nation. This plan is to bring in the Innovative ideas that addresses the problem of rural people to the forefront.

First an executive summary is to be submitted, if selected then mentoring process will be augmented to bring in an Innovative Business to reality that has the capacity to change the lives of poor people.
