QuizFest ‘08 at VNIT Nagpur

The VNIT Quiz Fest, which took off in the year 2006 has taken a huge leap within two years of its existence.

The total event is divided into
1. General
2. Corporate
3. IT
4. Sports
5. Entertainment

The total event held on Feb 23-24, 2008 with 2 quizzes on each day — with fillers, crosswords, sudokus and informals conducted during the night. Along with these there are short quizzes on topics of interest like Harry Potter, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Tintin, Asterix etc. The fest prize money stands at Rs 150,000/-.

The quizzes consists of a preliminary written round. The top 6 teams out of the the whole lot of about 1000 participants, make it to the next final round where the battle just begins for the crown of one of the best quizzers in the nation. This year’s quiz to be conducted by the ace quiz-master Gautam Bose from GreyCells, Kolkata.
