India.StudentBusinesses.com is a new online resource that connects the most promising entrepreneurial students with a wide range of resources to help them succeed. It was launched in January at 8 universities in India, including some of the IIM’s, the IIT’s and the BITS campuses.

The website serves two primary functions:

(i) to connect student entrepreneurs with a select group of professionals (investors, mentors, and service-providers) who will help them succeed.

(ii) to connect an exclusive group of promising students in India with promising new startup opportunities, both in India and in the U.S.

The site also contains educational content specifically developed for student entrepreneurs, as well as a forum for students to discuss entrepreneurship-related topics. The original site- StudentBusinesses.com, was started by two successful Harvard students last year, and has members from some of the best colleges in the US (Harvard, MIT and others). The site’s Board of Advisors includes Tom Harrison (CEO of Omnicom Group’s Diversified Agency Services), Bob Higgins (Managing General Partner of Highland Capital Partners), Trey Grayson (Secretary of State of Kentucky), and Janak Joshi (Boston-based venture financier).
